During the symposium project partners presented SASCA findings, which examined child abuse in institutional settings, from the perspective of adult survivors.

Project partners expounded on the dynamics and long-term effects of such events, characteristics and impact of institutional child abuse, its relevance for European and international institutions and institutional responsibilities and response to victims,

On this occasion, SASCA partnership share proposals to European Parliamentarians related to the need to enrich the EU legislation with specific rules and recommendations related to abuse of children in institutional settings and to the prevention of this phenomenon. The proposal where the occasion of a debate with the contribution of participants from the European Parliament, the European Commission and ONG.
