Description

The aim of the training school was to provide an overview of the bioinformatic and statistical procedures used in the analysis of metabarcoding dietary data. By the end of this course, participants were able to process sequencing metabarcoding data, occurrence matrices, as well as perform statistical analysis of diet diversity and composition. The training school used bats as main case studies, but attention was also given to other organisms like birds, reptiles, or fish. Mornings were dedicated to
theoretical knowledge regarding bioinformatic pipelines and statistical methods, while afternoons consisted of practical classes processing sequencing data.
