This Department is the largest in the School of Engineering and includes a broad suite of disciplines including Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building information Modelling, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Sustainable Civil Engineering, Sustainable Energy Engineering and Fire Engineering. There are 3 Research Groups in the Department (aRCH, BIMC and iBERG) and they collaborate with many external partners in relation to the 3 connected themes of ‘green, lean and digital’. The Department is very conscious of the key role of research and innovation activities to inform the teaching on the education programmes.
