The Centre of Research and Enterprise in Engineering (engCORE) is a multidisciplinary, applied research centre embedded within the Faculty and Engineering and responsible for driving research, development and innovation with industry and academic partners in collaboration with national and international funding agencies. engCORE brings together 35 academic researchers from several knowledge domains who contribute to the implementation of a shared vision for engCORE: “Create, advance, and disseminate new technologies and knowledge through cutting edge applied research and innovation that will impact enterprise and society in the South East region. A culture of providing unique solutions for industry through a multidisciplinary approach is integral to the ethos of engCORE” The multidisciplinary research team specialise in the areas of AI/ML, Materials & Coatings, Advanced Modelling & Simulation, Signals & Sensing, Environmental Engineering and Space Technologies.
