Organisation profile

The Literacy Development Centre (LDC) is a national centre, based in SETU, which offers a suite of third level professional development programmes for adult educators, practitioners, tutors and managers working in the adult literacy, adult education, community education and the wider further education and training (FET) sector. The LDC is actively engaged in research in the field of adult literacy and adult education; Policy support with regional and national stakeholders and advocacy for the adult education practitioner and the adult learner; and Advocacy for the adult education practitioner and the adult learner as well as the promotion of literacy as a whole.
