Our strategy is to create substantial centres of excellence for world-class research in which individual scholars and research groups are given maximum freedom to pursue their investigations.  The spectrum of research activity in SETU is realised by the efforts of a huge array of dedicated professionals. The entire research community and its supports are involved to ensure the University's performance with respect to securing research funding from a range of competitive funding programmes, attracting and guiding excellent postgraduate students, engaging with and collaborating with research bodies such as Science Foundation Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, Irish Research Council, Higher Education Authority, Fulbright Commission, and many others.  This portal is your gateway to finding our researchers, outputs, impacts, projects, and units.
