The Waterford campus was originally Waterford Institute of Technology and was recognised as the leading research performer in the Institute of Technology sector with research, development and innovation activities that are impactful, internationally benchmarked, strategic, and economically relevant. Through this portal, you will find out about some of the amazing multidisciplinary and collaborative research that is underway at the Waterford campus in addition to our historical achievements. We have created a research and innovation ecosystem that brings together our researchers and students with entrepreneurs, industry experts and established companies. This strong research culture is the result of many individual efforts but it is also through the collaboration by many academics, researchers, and a dedicated Research Support Unit and structure.
