Biography

Dr. Caroline McGarry is a lecturer in the FoELL in SETU, Waterford. Caroline currently teaches on various programmes across the Faculty including the BA in Adult Further Education, the Postgraduate Diploma in Further Education and Masters in Education. Caroline has a background in primary education and worked as an assistant principal of a DEIS school for many years. She completed her PhD in Education and Masters in Education through Mary Immaculate College, Limerick and is particularly interested in the areas of digital literacy, educational disadvantage, language development, inclusion and curriculum development. She led the Pracademics in Education Research Colloquium in October 2024, which was held in the SETU arena.
