Biography

I am a lecturer in the Department of Accountancy & Economics in the School of Business, lecturing in Finance and Economics.  I also hold the following roles:

  • Joint Programme Leader - Master of Business Studies (MBS)
  • Stream Leader - MBS Economics & Finance Stream
  • Stream leader - BBS(Hons) Economics & Finance stream.  
  • Co-ordinator for the Economics & Finance Research Project.

I am an active researcher, primarily in the area of Behavioural Finance.  I am a member of the AIB Centre for Finance and Business Research and currently co-supervise three PhD students who are funded by the centre.

I obtained a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) degree from SETU and a Masters in Economic Science from UCC before completing my PhD in Finance at DCU.

I served as a Director of Waterford Credit Union in a voluntary capacity for approximately six years and held roles including Secretary to the Board and Treasurer. I served on a number of committees, including the Strategy Committee and Nominations Committee. I also served on the Investment Committee for a period of eight years.
