I am a Senior Software Research Engineer working in the Walton Institute for Information and Communications Systems Science. My research interests are in the area of Smart Grid and utilising mature and novel ICT and computing techniques to digitalise the energy sector.
I also work in the area of IoT, particularly in defining data pipelines and communications architectures. This has led me to work with companies, through the Walton ICS Technology Gateway, to help advance their product or realise their concepts.
A large part of what I do is to apply for funding through both National and European funding mechanisms, where, as part of a tream we build consortia and coordinate the writing and the submission of proposals.
