Biography

Dawn has been at SETU for over five years and lecturers on the Early Childhood programme across a number of modules with a particular interest in those that are health and practice based.  Prior to SETU, Dawn was a tutor on Level and Five Early Childhood and Healthcare programmes.  Dawn is also a qualified paediatric nurse. 

Reflecting her previous experience managing an early childhood setting, Dawn's research interests are focused on the professionalisation of the sector and development of STEAM education within early childhood education.  

Biography

Dawn is particularly interested of the fundamental place of care within education and the need to embed and value this within the ongoing professionalisation of the sector.
