Biography

Dr Des Earls is a Lecturer in Department of Health and Sport Sciences. His main field of expertise is Strength and Conditioning Science. 

His research interests include the prescription and monitoring of strength and conditioning programmes for performance enhancement, and profiling elite performance.

Des completed his DEd in the area of pedagogy for sport science with a particular focus on practical class teaching to prepare students for future. practice.

Des has worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach for the past 12 years with a range of national governing bodies and numerous club and intercounty senior GAA teams in Ireland.
