Dr. Gillian Curran is a lecturer of Economics at South East Technological University, Waterford. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from UCD, a Masters in Economic Science (Hons) Degree from UCD and a PhD in Health Economics from UCC. Her research interests are in the areas of health economics and economic evaluation. Many of her recent publications are with members of the school of health science in the area of health economics. She teaches various modules across the school of business, with her main subject areas being macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, and quantitative techniques. She is also involved in postgraduate research supervision.
Prior to taking up a lecturing position in WIT, Gillian lectured in UCC, worked with the Health Service Executive and with Ryanair. She has been External Examiner with Atlantic Technological University and with the Dublin Business School.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
