Research Interests

Grassland agronomist with expertise on sustainable grassalnd systems.  PhD Queens University (originally a Teagasc Walsh Fellow then research officer Teagasc grassland). Supervisors AJ Brereton (grass growth climate change models) and AS Laidaw (clover grassland agronomy, AFBI). Currently lecturer agriculture agricultural science SETU. Numerous scientific papers popular articles booklets on grassland systems research (thirty peer reviewed journal articles). Publications and research topics on grassland managment, grass clover agronomy, nutrient managment and more recently carbon sequestration and mitigation of green house gas emissions from grassland. Extensive contacts in the area.  Collaborator on a number of national and European grassland projects.  Currently and in the past main supervisor (principal investigator) of a number of completed PhDs, (10) post docs and technicians in the area (funded projects).
