Research Focus: Learner Behavior Modeling and Analysis

Expertise: Learner Behavior Analysis, Machine Learning, Educational Technology, E-learning Platforms, Data Science, and programming languages such as Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Current Research:

  • PhD Project: "Tracking, Modeling, and Predictive Analysis of Learner Behavior Towards More Effective Learner Behaviors and Online Courses." (Funded by the Irish Research Council Postgraduate Scholarship Programme). This project investigates the use of machine learning techniques to understand student behaviour in online courses and develop personalised learning experiences.

Previous Research:

  • MSc Thesis: "Leveraging xAPI in a Corporate e-Learning Environment to Facilitate the Tracking, Modelling, and Predictive Analysis of Learner Behaviour." This research explored the use of xAPI standards to capture learner behaviour data and analyse it for performance improvement in corporate e-learning platforms.
  • BSc (Hons) Project: "Application of Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms to Gameplay." This project investigated the application of AI techniques in game design, specifically focusing on using neural networks and genetic algorithms to create dynamic and adaptive gameplay elements.

Teaching: Contributes to the Department of Computing's curriculum by teaching courses related to web design and development, and programming fundamentals.

Motivation: Passionate about using research to improve learning experiences and develop effective online learning environments.

Key Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent research and writing abilities, experience with data analysis techniques.
