Marie is a lecturer in Mental Health Nursing at SETU. She is a registered psychiatric nurse, registered nurse prescriber and a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. Marie has two decades experience in mental health services, the last ten years at specialist level and remains in CBT practice. Her most recent HSE mental health service role was in the development of an integrated CBT service in a rural adult mental health service  to encourage increased access to evidence-based interventions in secondary care - reducing polypharmacy and rationalisation of medication through endorsing the stepped care approach in the treatment of common mental health difficulties in the community.
