Biography
Lectures in Employee Relations and HRM in the Dept of Mangement and Organistion. Holds an MA in Industrial Relations from Keele University ( UK) and PhD from the Universtity of Limerick.
Over 15 years experience working in a variety of roles in the manufacturing sector with direct involvment in various manufacturing philosophies as, WCM, TQM and Lean.
The main areas of research interest are focused on developments in employement relations at workplace level and include trade union responses to new forms of work organisation, union membership activism, employee representation and workplace democracy.
Member of a joint collobrative committee between the Pharamaceutical, Chemical and Medical Device ( PMDS) sector of SIPTU and the School of Business to facilitate and share knowledge related to emerging employee relations practices in the sector.
Member of the Irish Association for Industrial Relations
Teaching
Lecturing on a range of employee relations / HRM modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level including the supervision of post graduate dissertations.
