Biography

Dr. Mujahid Tabassum has completed his PhD at USIM, Malaysia. He also obtained an MSc Computer System Engineering (Specialization in Computer Network) degree from Halmstad University, Sweden, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Wollongong, Australia. He is a qualified “Chartered Engineer (CEng)” registered with the UK's Engineering Council. He is a Cisco, Microsoft, Linux, Security, and IoT-certified instructor. He has obtained two Australian IP patents in the IoT and security fields.

He has 16 years of working experience and has worked at various international universities. Before joining SETU, he had worked with Noroff Education, Norway; the University of Technology and Applied Science, Oman; and the Swinburne University of Technology, Malaysian campus.

He has obtained CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Cloud, CRM, ERP, Security, Cisco CyberOps, Project Management, and ITIL certifications. He has broad knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ISO 27000, and COSO. His research interests include Computer Networks, AI, Wireless Sensor Networks, IoT, Security, and Applications. He has published several conference papers, journals, and book chapters. He is a guest editor for several reputed journals. He is a member of IEEE, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, IAENG, the Australia Computing Society (ACS), and the MBOT Malaysia.
