Biography

Dr. Omer Ali is working as a Lecturer (Software Development) in computing department (Carlow campus).  His area of interest include agile, CI/CD software development, application of Machine Learning and AI and integration in embedded platforms.

Prior to joining SETU Carlow, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at Walton Institute (West Campus, SETU) investigating real-time application of lightweight machine learning, optimization, and ML integration. Furthermore, he was also actively involved in investigating the impact of battery utilization, its State of Health (SOH) and State of Charge (SOC) especially in low-power electronics applications including WSN and IoT.
