My educational background includes professional examinations of hte Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). I hold an MSc in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University (UK) and a Doctorate in Education (EdD) from The University of Sheffield (UK).
In recent years I have delivered lecturers on taxation (L8 and L9) and Reflective Research Practice (L10 - DBA).
My EdD thesis focused on how the assessment regime in Higher Education influences student learning and how that said regime contributes to Educationally Worthwhile Learning. How students learn at second level (mainly Rote Learning) is inappropriate for higher education adn education providers must adopt strategies that promote deep learning so as to ensure our graduates are work ready.
