Biography

Ryan is a software research engineer at Walton Institute, working in its XR (Extended Reality) Group as part of the Mobile Ecosystem and Pervasive Sensing (MEPS) unit and has been part of the organisation since late 2017, working on multidisciplinary EU and domestic projects.

He has worked on EU projects in the area of transport (TransSec) and 5G communications (5GMediaHUB) as well as developing various augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications.

Research Interests

Ryan's research interests are primarily focused around extended reality (XR), specifically the usage of XR technologies in the use of language learning, both signed and verbal.
