Shikha is a lecturer in the Department of Land Science at South East Technological University (SETU). She holds a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from University College Cork (UCC). Shikha has demonstrated capacity to direct and execute excellent research in the area of novel food processing technologies. She is recipient of prestigious EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship, which allowed her to work in the area of insect processing at Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB), Potsdam, Germany. Her research project mainly focused on developing innovative technologies for sustainable exploitation of macromolecules from insects as alternative resource in bioeconomy. She has developed a strong publication record of over 40 publications including one co-edited book, 29 manuscripts in international high impact peer reviewed journals and several presentations at international conferences.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
