Project Details

Description

Positioned within Early Childhood Education with an EDI interest, the aim of this study is to identify the factors influencing the uptake of ECCE places among Traveller families in the South-East region of Ireland. The research aims to contribute meaningful insights into why Traveller uptake of the ECCE service is poor and thereby suggest ways to improve uptake. By interpreting data through related concepts associated with cultural inclusion or exclusion the study will also contribute to an understanding of Travellers’ interpretation of ECCE provision.
