Abstract
The Tealities of global competition and increased customer sophistication have focused organisational attention on the need to integrate technology within a learning framework. While much has been written on the importance of evolving a learning organisation, less attention has been given to understanding in a practical way the demands advanced technology places on organisational systems, particularly those operating in dynamics environments. There is a growing realisation that long-term organisational success is more dependent on the manner in which it exploits its intellectual capital rather than any state of the art technological interventions. Organisations deploying advanced technology must understand that the interface between man and machine ts where most concerns arise and the manner in which such difficulties are managed will influence the real value of advanced technological interventions.
