Abstract

The researcher presented her research project focused on internationalising the student experience in Irish higher education through 'Internationalisation at Home' (IaH). The study aims to explore how IaH is conceptualised in an Irish context by analysing teaching, learning, and policy documents from various Irish HEIs. Focus groups and interviews with students, academic staff, managers, and stakeholders will be conducted to understand how a culture of IaH can be integrated into curriculum review and development. The research will build on existing best practice models and develop a new framework for IaH in the Irish context, aiming to impact institutional strategy and national policy. The findings are expected to provide direction for embedding IaH principles into curricula, making internationalisation accessible to all students rather than just a minority.
