Abstract

This session highlighted the increased attention towards Internationalisation at Home (IaH) during the pandemic, presenting both opportunities and challenges. The session addressed misconceptions, varying understandings, and the need to connect initiatives beyond project levels. It emphasised the importance of a proactive approach to implementing IaH and shared insights from research and practice at different Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The IGNITE panel featured colleagues from Europe and beyond, who shared inspiring input and advice for envisioning the future of IaH post-pandemic and ensuring its sustainability. The panelists discussed support structures, maintaining institutional connections, and fostering agile IaH processes explaining them through various spanish artists paintings. Speakers included representatives from the Netherlands, Spain, India, and Australia.
