Abstract
The researcher delivered a presentation titled "Internationalisation at Home (IaH) in the Irish Context: A PhD Study" during the ENIS Cost Action Summer School, titled "European Network of International Student Mobility - Connecting Research and Practice Virtual Summer School." This presentation illuminated the researcher's project, which centers on exploring the underutilised potential of Internationalisation at Home (IaH) in the Irish higher education context, specifically targeting students who do not engage in international mobility. The research investigates how this innovative approach challenges conventional learning methods and extends the boundaries of traditional educational practices.
The presentation showcased a robust alignment with the summer school theme, which revolves around bridging the gap between research and practical implementation in the realm of international student mobility. It underscored the predominant emphasis on international mobility experiences and the limited accessibility of such opportunities for the majority of students. Additionally, the presentation offered a concise yet comprehensive overview of the concept of Internationalisation at Home (IaH) and its significance within the landscape of Irish higher education. Furthermore, the abstract highlighted the researcher's primary project objective: to instill a culture of internationalisation within the curriculum, emphasising the integration of international perspectives and experiences into the educational framework.
