Abstract
This report is from a conference in August 2012 hosted by Wexford County Council in conjunction with Waterford Institute of Technology and Ireland Newfoundland Connections. It summarises the presentations made at the conference and provides a synopsis of the propsals made by attendees with view to rendering more effective partnerships within and for the Region. It also examined some comparative dimensions with respect to Newfoundland and Labrador, a province in Canada with which the South east of Ireland has strong social and cultural connections.
The conference drew on economic and institutional aspects of such partnerships and sought to identify pathways which could enhance the impact of such partnerships prospectively.
